Arden Hills’ State of the City public address
The State of the City Address is an opportunity for the Mayor and City Council to inform attendees of significant developments, projects, and improvements in the city over the past year. Gray Arel planned, organized, and implemented the annual State of the City (SOTC) event for the City of Arden Hills. Gray was tasked with researching and scheduling the venue, managing logistics, creating the presentation, script, and wayfinding signage, and managing the extensive editing and approval process of the aforementioned deliverables. Presentation Slides and Script
The process of authoring and editing the presentation slides and the script took over 5 months in collaboration with 15 additional stakeholders. It required extensive attention to detail, thorough and consistent communication, and constant adaptability. Despite being a part-time staff member with limited hours and knowledge about other city departments, I learned details about all the major projects, developments, improvements, and happenings in the City of Arden Hills over the past year and managed event logistics on the morning of September 15, 2022.
